Melbourne Timber Furniture Factory |
The blueprint furniture factory is housed in the old railway print works in North Melbourne. Built in the 1890s, the historic building is now stacked to the rafters with rows of recycled timber. We have an extensive joinery, including a giant band saw made in the 1920s. Customers who visit our Melbourne factory see the recycled timber transformed from rough-hewn beginnings into polished final pieces of beautiful furniture. The hard work and passion of our twelve employees drives the creative process. Firstly, we clean and metal detect the timber to make sure we’ve removed all the nails. Then we mill the planks into useful sizes and shapes for our cabinetmakers, who craft them into anything the customer orders. The sanding and finishing team are careful to let the glorious wood grain speak for itself. |
